Last Drink
2024
Animated short film based on Will Wood’s Jimmy Mushroom’s Last Drink, , which is a song about a man drinking to gather the courage to end his life, implied to be through a car crash. I wanted to do such serious subject matter justice, both by not showing anything explicitly, and to try to give a more comforting place to represent the character’s calm mindset going into this. Made in Blender.

I Want to Be Sedated

Animated short film about insomnia and self-destructive tendencies. The feeling I wanted to express the most was this contrast that one feels when its 4 am and they really need to go to sleep but their brain is absolutely not cooperating, and I wanted to portray this with having two “environments” - the real and the insomnia dimension.Made in Maya.

Inspired by Percy Shelley’s poem Ozymandias, which is about the inevitable decay of civilisations. Each scene is depicts a symbol of human progress decaying over time, and all of them are rendered in different art styles.

Based of Leong Liew Geok’s poem of the same title, which criticises the ease of which trees and memories are replaced in the context of Singapore.
